Happy Days!

Congrats dude! What a dream job. Shit I'd do that for free if he let me sleep there and provided me with three sleeves of crackers, a jar of skippy, and a five gallon bucket of water once a week.

Thanks guys! I plan to stick with them for a while, work as hard as I can, and kiss butt. I need this.

Because it's an internship I don't get paid, but he was nice enough to tell me to write down all of my expenses (getting to and from work, and lunch, mainly). I'm going to do my best as it seems there is a good possibility of this leading somewhere... somewhere good. As it is though, I am extremely thankful.

Fantastic David. Must be the modern equivalent of starting in the mail room. Since its an internship can you get college credit?

Hey David, firstly, congratulations. Second, if you want some advice on how not to be chewed up as an intern in NYC, lemme know! I got a veritable ton of friends that have been "adding to their education and resume" for years! Again, nice work. Ps, I can come by and randomly test drive whatever I want right?

I think I'll be okay at cooper classics. I may be an intern but the guys who work there are awesome, and not the type of people to push others around.

and sure, you can test drive what you want, as long as you show proof of having the funds to purchase the vehicle you would like to test drive and the boss man gives you permission to do so ;). Now, the second part is the harder bit, especially when you consider who the regular customers are. :x

So your working for free hahaha congrads man

More or less, but it is about so much more than that.

thanks guys :)

Today I found a DB6 Convertible. only 38 ever built. and I found one of them and the guy was willing to rent it out to us (he had it for sale anyway). To say the least, my boss was once more, very, very, happy. We were bouncing back and forth the idea of buying another E type... Not a Mk I, but very special for another reason...

For a comical reason, actually. Who can guess the car? :)

I was the head mechanic at a super high end euro restoration shop for years and years. Im also on a list of 13 people that have rebuilt a 90 aston vantage motor there was 333 ever built. Ive restored several 111 benzs and a few clouds & 50s bentleys and a ton of 356s and a couple of vintage lambos bla bla bla pay attention to every thing a 20 Dollar mistake on a camero is a 6000 dollar mistake on a shadow the brit cant build any thing well so there will alway be work in keeping these heeps running enjoy and dont let your self get taken advantage of.

That is VERY impressive bradj! I hear you on the mistakes being more costly.

Heh... the brits might not have the build quality, but at least they have the soul, and I'd rather have a car that has character and soul that breaks down once in a while over a soul-less turd that is dead reliable.

Right on the money! We ended up passing on it, but it was fun as heck at least considering it!
