I had to clean up where I chopped both ends of the frame prepping for my custom jobbie had to make things level as I cut them while they were on the bike.
I find it quite entertaining this is the frame is so simple. I really like it. The lower part of the frame is level now (the smaller part) at this stage and ready for welding.
Now across.. fugging rights doggy!! PS took me like 4 hours to level both parts of the frame today. Keep in mind they didn't need to be THAT level but why not, lets make this bike really well done.
Now we are ready for custom boxing and welding tomorrow.
Boxed in the frame and did a shit load of grinding.. Trying to get things ready for painting.
Also not pictured, I prepared the steering tube for the new gxr shizat. Ha I wasted half an hour looking for the lower race..it was in with the lower bearing...duh! lol.
So I lost a bit of time today. I sanded the red filler and I forgot I hate that red shit. So I removed it on all those previous parts and scuffed them up, should be good for paint.
Feeling I didn't accomplish anything I decided to get the gussets done on the subframe. It was a bit time consuming too.
Sweet ditty! The carbs and chainsaw decompression valve came in today!
These were holding me up on the head work for the engine build. The engine builders hope to do the boring of the cylinders today too. I desperately need that info for the custom pistons. My xv piston is sitting on Nick Arias the third's desk waiting for my specs.
