Home made copper exhaust baffle

Hell no! I'm gonna make a new set just w/ smaller diameter tubing to quiet them a bit more. It's really the only thing that will work w/ my pipe set up. Those look nice man. good job.

well im not putting them in till this weekend. ill finish the other one after work. i dont want to take them out once installed so you think more holes would make it more quiet? i mainly want some back pressure back because my bike isnt idling well since removing the muffler. More holes or just right?

man, now you guys are all down on these home made baffles. wish i would read before this ???

I'm not so much down on them as I just went in a different direction... partly for a different look... I'm just happy w/ the end result I got. If I hadn't gotten the Shorties I'd probably be running Version 3.0 right now. V1 was w/ solder, V2 was silver solder, and V3 would have had them assembled w/ rivets like yours. I didn't try wrapping them, I bet that makes a real difference.

Great stuff. Really want to make a short exhaust for my cb400 that will end under the motor. but need it to be baffled not for the neighbors but for my crappy hard-to-jet pain-in-the-butt carbs.

Is there any reason why this wont work? The ends don't fray this way.
