Honda CGL 125 Mexican Build

I thought I'd take a look at your scoot since you visited mine. Cool bike and really cool that it's new! A couple things I would do. Not sure if it was mentioned, but I always take off the reflectors. Maybe you need them for visibility or legality. Maybe replace them with reflective strips. Also, try lowering the headlight. It's a bit high. Generally, I like the top to line up with top of the tank. That will give a clean visual line front to back. Maybe lower some of the gauges too. Anyway, enjoy it. Good work!

I can't take the reflectors off because the forks have special holes for them and taking them off would imply leaving a big squared and ugly holes in the forks. Don't like the look of them either. :S
On the other hand, I'll definitely replace the gauges; haven't gotten the right ones just yet!
Thanks for stopping by mate!

Couple pics of the already painted seat hump. Still Needs some minor detailing

Re: Honda CGL 125 Almost ready

Finally made the seat pan and started to shape the foam that eventually (and hopefully) will become the seat.
Also painted the HONDA emblems that used to be gold. They are now white and sexy!

Thanks bro! Good luck on yours too.

I changed the tail light bracket so you could barely see them when off, happy with the way she looks. :)
Finished the seat pan and seat foam. Next step: Upholster

Re: Brand new OEM Honda speedo

Finally got a speedo! It`s funny because it belongs to another 2012 125 Honda; but in this case to a chopper look alike called the vmen.
Anyways; liked it very much!

Re: Seat finally upholstered

The cushion is finally upholstered and looks FUCKING AWESOME; however, I had to paint the seat hump again because paint started to fell off it! Probably due to a "questionable origin" thinner.
Complete assembly on monday and bike almost ready to be finished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:)

oooooh yes that looks great. You pick up some black vinyl for the tank?

Thanks!
Already picked the vinyl for the tank! Just don't know what "pattern" to make yet! Any suggestion?

Maybe something like this? The orange part would be black vinyl and the black paint would be championship white
bmwbobberrodneyaguiar.jpg

or if you want to borrow something from a vintage honda I think this pattern is great

I was something that looks like it came from the factory in the 70's (like the green one) with two colors; black and something else (Olive green? Yellow? Teal?)
Similar to this:

juan;
Perhaps a Red and a Green stripe the length of the tank and seat. A rather nationalistic color scheme, but could be done with Vinyl rather inexpensively I should think.

Wouldn't have thought in those colors at all; but sounds reaaally interesting! First I'll look my vinyl color options
