Honda CGL 125 Mexican Build

I think the black should be dominant and whatever color you use with it should be just basically a pinstripe in width.

Re: Should I call it finished?

Finally finished to paint the seat.
Sooo...The main aspects of the bike are completely done! I think there are just a couple of details I would like to address like a tool bag and the damn grafics; but for now (I mean this weekend) that is it. The bike is gonna be shown in her first event on sunday so I'm curious to know if people will like her or not...
Anyways, enjoy my shitty 3:00 am pictures and let me know what you think!

Looking good!

i'm impressed with how that seats turned out fits the bill %100.
the only thing i would say is maybe either drop the front end a little maybe let the fork tubes through the tripples an inch or so or get some longer rear shocks to bring the back end up and give it more of an agresive stance! I think the stock ones fitted are 320mm so maybe raise it to around 340mm i dont know if it would allow you to go any longer otherwise it might start foulding the swing arm!

Hey Tom! The forks are already about an inch through the triples! But once the bike is off the center stand they compress and the stance of the bike changes dramatically.
Glad you like my seat!
Cheers,

Juan Fco.

Oh well i now approve ;)

It turned out great i love how its got the lip around the outside of it, makes it look so much neater !

Ive still gotta get mine upholstered did you takes yours to an upholster to do it because it looks pretty nice whatever!

nice work on the seat! I wouldn't mess with vinyl decals or anything. clean & simple is good!! keep it white.

Do you think I should leave it the way it is right now then?

Re: Honda CGL 125 Mexican-done...ish

Had to go to this car exhibition today and said "why not?" and brought the bike with me.
I was surprised because A LOT of people loved the bike and took pics of her and everything.
I'm proud of my first build! Haha
I won't declare this build finished until I take good shots of her; wait for them soon!

I have 2 remarks on your bike, one being the front fender is in my eyes kind of disproportioned, the other one being the stance of it. To me it looks hi in the front, or the rear shocks are on the sort side. but that's just me, all in all it's looking good

Hey man! I know it looks kind of hi up front but once you take the bike off its center or sidestand the front suspension compresses a bit and the stance of the bike changes dramatically.

now that you mention it, those front forks do compress a bit once you¿re on it, maybe a rolling shot will show it's true stance. nice job!

Thanks guys! I really appreciate your input. I promise to take some quality photos this week!

That thing is badass man.

Ooh man...Thanks a lot!
I really really appreciate the DTT approval as this being my first bike and first build (and considering I am just 20).
You are welcome over here anytime you want too! Just let me know you are coming ;)

FINISHED.

As promised, the "show and shine" with sexy ass pictures:

FINISHED.

Although now I have to sell the bike, I'm looking to start a new and better project next time.

Had a lot of great times building this one and more importantly I learned an awful lot of new stuff.

For those who helped along the way, thanks a lot guys!

Don't forget to give me some feedback please!

Cheers,

Juan Fco.

what's your new project going to be?

If you want something more classic, you should look around the anumex site, that's where I found my bike, but I've seen some pretty cool scoots there. I was about to buy a pristine looking CL350 that I found in that site.

Sold the bike today to the first guy that came to see her. He is going to pay what I was asking so...off to a new bike :)
