Hondazuki XLRM250 Trans-America Hell Ride

Re: XL250 Trans-America Hell Ride

sorry i missed that bit i was thinkin like a logger
that is the way i would do it ,machined to fit like a harley or a 1847 bicycle neck cups, but i would have sweated it with low temp bronze or silver
let some silver flow over and clearcoat the headstock
but always remember the viability of the featherd torchflame and the sweatin'... sometimes it is better than the melting in this case its optimum app was carelustly forlorn

Re: XL250 Trans-America Hell Ride

I didn't know we were entering motoGP with the dirtbike :p Only thing you might have done was to preheat everything and clamp the part with all tread before welding, but again Dirt Bike. Almost no need to weld at all... a tight tolerance press fit would of been fine, no?

3-4" Fall Away should do er ::)

And as usual if I am wrong... Oh Dang :-\

Nothing major, just a reconfigure of the backbone in hopes it will give me a factory option tank. I have something special in transit. Basically, I moved the bend angle further back.

Welded up bracing at the front of the frame.

Replaced steering bearings.

A little more work on the frame with more to come:

Added 1.5" to the rear triangle tube (below the stock upper shock mounts) which pushes the rear upsweep further.

Also trying out these Pro Taper ATV Hi bars...

Nice! I like how you modified the stock pedal for that. I ended up having to buy one. That looks good

Starting to plan out a seat. One idea is to alter a pan I made for the XL175...
