KZ550- Iron Geek K Zeta

Yup, I like em. Pipes tuck neatly in and don't stand out too much. Little bit of a "stinger" look, but cool nonetheless! Great work man!

I think it looks good - i would put some kind of ring/cap on the end of the pipe, were it me. The line of the pipe and rear brake look good - how 'bout the other side?

Yeah? Not a bad idea. The pipes have a tab welded on them by my build partner to hold them in place, but I kinda like the raw sound but I'll keep it in mind. Anyways, I will take some artsy pictures soon but thank you for your gracious comments

Hey guys,

So the pipes didn't work :(..... too much back pressure. We decided to run a 4-4, which Mario will fab up soon enough. For now here are some photos for your viewing pleasure

Now I'm intrigued! I'd like to see what you guys come up with. I think you got too much backpressure because you didn't make the pipe LARGER (diameter) after the 2 came together. 2 strokes have that choke point, but 4 strokes typically get a larger opening after putting the two together, this is looking rad gentlemen.

You're probably right. I think we're gonna run shorter pipes than yours... kinda just a sleek look. btw if you know anyone in the market for a kz550 let em know that this one is up for sale

Ok guys,

The project has reached its end. A big thanks to Mario Algaze for undertaking this project with me and being the master fabricator that he is. so without further ado:

Wow, from where it started to where it is now...great work gents. I think with a slick paintjob that thing would be even more of a head turner. I hope who ever buys it takes care of it, hell of a job guys!

Looks great!! I am digging the whole bike but especially the seat!! Gonna have a lucky person whomever picks that bike up!

I love the rusty tank, but it definitely takes the pretty completely out of it!

Haha, sometimes pretty isn't everything, I think it would look even MORE fantastic with it all painted, but rusty is trusty! ;) Again, killer work, I like it.

I just wanna thank everyone that has followed this build over the last few
months, its been a blast to build and create, and even more fun to ride. these kawis' have stolen my heart cause this thing is wicked fast!! ;D Easy to work on and straight forward design made it an awesome base to work with. I really appreciate all the Q/A that went on and everyone being so helpful along the way. This wasnt my first rodeo and it wont be the last, so thanks for stickin' around while we chopped and loved on this ol' girl.

Bike looks bad arse, just building a 550 of my own, bought it for $475 and it runs, only drove it up and down the block before ripping it's guts out, can't wait to see how it goes when I am done, My 2007 Virago 250 was a total differnt machine after I did the exhaust and pod so expect the same on this one.
