Lil' Brat build

+2. awesome job.

I LOVE that you're doing this in a fuckin appt building!

thought the bike looked good when ya started, but I'd have done the same thing and tore it apart. If I dont then its not really mine, its just this thing I bought from someone else.

Keep it up man.

Yeah it's 19 floors up on a balcony. At my parents place. Got kicked out of the garage as someone had a whinge. Should be interesting getting it down in the lift!!!

Today was a good day. Closed up the engine head with a new gasket and a bit of goo. Mounted the engine. Chopped a short front fender. Started cutting a short pipe to mount the front blinkers. Had waaaay to much fun. Should be done in a month or so.

Here's a late night shot of where she's at. Will take more shots tomorrow with a few close ups. That's if it's not pissing it down...

speaking of the wheels, I think the style is alright, but they look light as all hell!

Yeah all the old 80s GSX / GSXR wheels are pretty light looking. Something a bit different to full spokes though. Mind you, I did consider finding some hubs that fit and getting some spoke wheels made. Too much deniro, next time!!! I like these for now.

Coming out sick.. Love the fact that your building it in your apartment! haha one question, how you plan on getting this out once its all said and done??lol

Evel Knievel style. Jump it off the balcony!!! I'll see if it fits in the lift. Otherwise I'll take off the front end end man handle it back into the garage.

I'm following this just to find out how you get your bike out.
Will you video it, with sound. So we can hear all the cussin ;)

Nice build too. :)

Been a while but managed to get stuck back in. The front indicators have been annoying me for a while. I had to order a length of steel pipe from the UK after calling every Steel merchant in Australia and getting nothing. If all else fails, eBay it.

Started by cutting the right length and drilling a hole ready for tapping. Then slowly, and I mean slowly, tapped an 8mm thread (harder than it looks).

Then bolted the indicators on. Boooooooom, ready to drill mounting holes and a side hole for the wires. Then paint.

Waiting for some more parts this week. Should make a big dent in it this weekend.

wait, so the front turns are bolted to the frame, not the forks? nice touch.

that gauge is nice too. very compact. should be able to hide the wires easily.

Thanks dude. I like the gauge because it's still got an analogue tacho. Didn't feel right getting a full digital one. Not on an older ride. Have to wire the whole bike this weekend. Should be interesting!

Great fucking build! I'm suprised you got all the paint on in the Garage without getting the boot. Cant wait to see how you get it down to the street.
