Lurking for a bit... Now to show a bit of my project.

Hey man I think it kicks ass. People like to wring their hands and fret "oh no you'll be killed!". I dont like modern engines (too smooth) but you did something very neat with one. stick around

No hate here! Just different preferences... Thats what makes the world go round, Different views. If you just want to be pat on the back then maybe you shouldnt share... What the bike is mechanically is rad. What it looks like is a, never mind. Good job!!!!! that thing is bad ass! and has the best lines/proportion I've ever seen!

I think it's really cool. Not only are you keeping one more bike on the road, you've made it an awesome one of a kind bike.

I do have a question though (and please forgive me because I'm somewhat mechanically incompetent); now when a car has a ton of power and a frame that can't take it twists. I always assumed that was because the way the power was transferred to the rear end (causing it to twist sideways)... well on a motorcycle engine, would it twist backward?

Wouldn't the chain or sprocket tooth break before the frame twisted?

Not my cup of tea, but if it floats your boat… I don't see any hate in that.

Interesting build!
I admit, when you started I thought WTF. But as this build progressed, it started to grow on me. :)

As it reaches completion, I'm liking the look better than most of the new bikes being manufactured. 8)

Please let us know how it works.

Damn man I was surprised at the overall reaction. I think that thing looks fuckin Badass!

Let the haters hate...

Awsome build. Some of these douchebags think if you're bike does'nt look exactly how they think it should it's not worth looking at. Been reading some of the comments, if you can't say nothin' nice shut the fuck up!!!

Ya know.. I almost got sucked into your snide bullshit and wrote a super nasty retort.. But, I/we are entitled to our opinions. Everyone has been extremely civil about there opinions. And then you..... Whens the last time you told a man (or men) to shut the fuck up without being behind a keyboard? Pretty lame move there Ray!

One board member I don't want to meet, help, or piss on if on fire....

Oh and Ray, Clubmans on a stock bike don't constitute a "Cafe". Unless it's on craigslist.. hehe

Agreed! Signs of a good guy.

hey man don't get discouraged.. it's your creation.. as long as you like it that's all that matters... i feel like if the color scheme was different you would have a different response.. never stop innovating

Looks like you had a lot of access to a shop to do this project. How about some photos of that along with the bike?

I saw it 'in person' before I even knew about this thread.
Personally, I think it looks good and shows a lot of innovation.
Also, it looked like things were done 'properly' with some sound engineering
It isn't any sort of classic cafe and never will be, but, it's far more in keeping with classic cafe 'ethos' than many bikes being built

Dude, that bike is awesome! I had no idea such a modern engine would fit into an older frame and look that good. Really cool looking bike.

Did the engine just mount up or did you fab mounting brackets? I can't really see in the pictures.
