MGD's 1975 CB360T

Re: 1975 CB360T Milwaukee

Doh, I forgot that ;D
It's the fork brace and something?

Re: 1975 CB360T Milwaukee

So, I haven't been working on the 360 lately.

Look around Big Ass Projects and you will see I'm still busy though.

I'm kind of holding my breath on this girl, until I can get my hands on some custom rearsets.

I'm not getting pushy, I know new products take time.

My point is, I need to locate my feet first, clip-ons second, and seat position third.

Domino effect really. So for the rest of my season, I'll just keep on riding her the way she is.

Stripping the frame as I type this. going pretty well with aircraft stripper. On my third round of spay and wire brushing. Honda QC wasn't what it is today, I have snagged my rag on so much slag and actually about 1/4 inch of mig wire too. Lap sander is going to get a work out soon. Pictures later tonight after the Packers win, I hope.

Frame stripped for the most part. I got a majority of the heavy grinding finished. I may clean up the neck a little more. Then on to a lap sander disc.

I decided to use the center stand instead of the side stand. I know it's heavier, but I like how it tucks out of the way, not so much seen all the time. I'm also keeping the factory tool box, another little piece to hide electrics.

Anyone see something I should address at this stage? I'm open to comments on the progress, or lack there of. Has anyone gotten rid of the small gussets near the rear brake pivot/light switch area? I'm not sure if I should leave them for strength or just wipe them off.

Sent out my front disc for some machining. Cleaning it up, and cross drilling it.

I also spent some more time with the grinder/lap disc, and cutting wheel.

The frame is just about ready for primer/filler.

I need heat more than anything right now.

Ok, heat is now clarified. Just in time for a 2 inch snow fall.

I bought a 35K BTU propane cannon, and used the remaining fuel I had from my BBQ.

It got me to the point of mixing filler, and first coat of primer on the frame.

Then I ran out of gas. A good time to clean up for dinner I suppose.

More on the way this week.

I can tell this is going to be a sweet bike. Lookin' good. ;D
Thanks man, those type of comments keep me going. I show my wife things I'm doing, but all she says is "when can I ride it?"

Inbound parts list:

DK's Rearsets - check

Custom Drilled Rotor - check

PJ's carb correction for pod filters - check

PJ's starter block off - check

PJ's aluminum rear axle spacers - check

It's been really cold and moist over here, so not a whole lot of paint/body work going on at the moment.

I need to start tearing down the engine, but first it needs a high pressure bath. Again, weather is really a hold up for me at the moment.

Next week should be above freezing, so I should be able to bring the motor to my local quarter car wash for a high pressure scrubbing.

bearing spacer is just about 4oz lighter than the steel one

Will you be keeping your sidecovers once you put everything back together? I have the same bike in the same color and would love to pick those up off you if not. LMK.

Thanks!
Matt

You don't want my side covers, they were glued together when I bought it. Now they are in pieces after a season of riding.

Carbs are in too, but I just kept them in the plastic PJ shipped them in.

I'll be opening the engine soon enough. So no hurry on the carbs.

The spacers and starter delete are on the shelf too, waiting for the right time.

I mocked up the brake side rear set earlier, should work the way I want it to, no problem.
