MGD's 1975 CB360T

Going without one more or less.

I may fill the circular hole where the old lever attached, with a round head bolt.

Something to pull down the stand with my toe.

I have done this with mine, but I left a bit to kick down, tried to lower the stand on the other side when the bike was together and it was a hassle, so I left a little lever on there and cut off the excess and welded the end back on. ;)

That's about what I had in mind. Just a little something to keep my toe out from under it.

Your avatar always creeps me out. :D

That's what I would do, cut a section out of the arm you cut off and weld it back on as a short arm

I like that idea.

I just cut the ugly off it, saving as much round stock as possible.

A bit shorter ehh? You guys already had me in my frozen garage, in my slippers, enough for one night.

I'll cut off the larger bend, and flip it 180* so the nub faces up.

You know I'll post pictures.

yeah prolly a bit shorter, I was bringing it out a bit to make it easier with the rearsets fitted .

LOL, I do the same, except it's very rare to be frozen here
I was dismantling a wheel around 3:00am 'last night' seemed like a good idea at the time ;D

must be the cold.................................................................... ;D

Work has been a little crazy this past week.

No real progress on the bike, but my garage got a little nicer.

I believe this will be the cleanest it will ever be. the green stuff is a water based degreaser, first time I've used it.

I hope it does its job well. At least it's not combustible.

It would be hard for a nationally certified Fire Alarm engineer to explain why his own house burned to the ground.

Harbor Freight had a weekend sale going on.

20 Gallon parts washer with pump, a gallon of Green Stuff, a brass tooth brush, and another nylon brush was under $95.00.

With a cracked cylinder casting, and wiped out seals, this engine needs a bath, inside and out.

I knew I needed to replace all the seals and gaskets going into this, but I want to show you all what the internals look like.

Also, the front of the cylinders was pushing oil out of what looked to be a welded crack in the housing.

I would have never thought to bubble gum up a cylinder casting, but some one did. And it still leaked.

I have another set of cylinders and housing to replace this broken one. I just thought you guys would get a kick out of seeing the pictures.

I need input on the wear of the top end, and what to replace/upgrade while I have it apart.

It's not going to be heavily modified, just cleaned up and running correctly.

Chain tensioners look brand new. I suspect this engine has seen the chain let go, breaking the jugs in the process.

I could be wrong though. Anyway, I would love to hear from you guys about what you see. Thanks.

You have left intake valve spring on upside down, and the right exhaust by the look of it
