Think this is the right board for this story.
i started 2010 with an idea of an pushrod recordbike with an eaton supercharger.
the buildt is in progress since then..
it all started with an old 4 Valve Moto Guzzi V65 Lario
the first idea was like this - putting the charger in one side of the splitted fuel tank
thx, so here some more pics from the beginning..winter 2010...
the first conceptideas were a V11 front end rear end for the bike
16 inch spokewheels match perfect to the concept, they were from an earlier never finished MotoGuzzi bobber project..
so the concept slowly developes to a rollable bike
Re: V7 Style 650 PBG Bonnevilleracer >> Made in Germany<<
here is a pic from the frontend... the big 320mm discs in 16 inch wheels looked fantastic i think....so thats one of the parts that have found the way to the 2012er project to get real. this combination is difficult to handle..the rims are so tight that u must first fit the calliper on the discs and than mount the disc with the caliper on the wheel...but the great look is worth it i think
Re: V7 Style 650 PBG Bonnevilleracer >> Made in Germany<<
the eaton is driven by a toothbelt direct from the crankshaft between engine and clutch, the charger is placed in the middle of the bike, eleminating the battery.. the positioning in the fueltank is too difficult to realise at the moment.. sad to say that..
but the hole concept is looking more stock so and thats fine. just very compact...wait for new pics.. this and next week..its just completly knocked down , waiting for its first completion..
For engine management i ve got a EMS Stinger V4
Re: V7 Style 650 PBG Bonnevilleracer >> Made in Germany<<
WTF. Woah up there ..... was just getting comfy with the idea that the RD 350/400's are going to be this winters build entertainment and you throw this muther into the play pen?
It's completely outrageous, improbable, unwieldy, may well at best self distruct, at worst tear a hole in the fabric of the time/space continuum.
Re: V7 Style 650 PBG Bonnevilleracer >> Made in Germany<<
thx...
so a last pic of the project (idea) where its ended ..
the pic was taken on europeans biggest Custombikeshow 2010 in Germany..
after that i try to realise different sections of the bike..primarily the drivetrain for the eaton and the complete rear end
so 2011 goes away and some ideas change to become realistic..
to go on i change the frame and went back to a twin shock rear end, i had luck on ebay and get a brandnew V7 classic fueltank ....
So the way goes to the "original" looking V7 Compressorbike ....
Re: V7 Style 650 PBG Bonnevilleracer >> Made in Germany<<
beeing busy this weekend, starting with modifying the new frame on friday
So first starting with cutting of the needless stock brackets and suspension mounts...
they were later welded at the frame in a V7 style position as in the 3rd picture
the engine with the gearbox is now first assembled with the pulley between crankshaft & clutch..this means the complete drive unit is about 2cm longer than stock.... so new work waits..
That new Tonti frame looks super nice and clean now... The new suspension mounting points look nice and strong in the position... nice. More direct.
Looking forward to seeing that pulley driving the super charger. Are you going to make up a spacer that sits between the gearbox and engine casings? Or are you going to leave it all exposed?
