I just received my motobits yesterday and I'm really struggling to set up the brake side. The lever or pedal just wants to drop and it seems like i can't get any friction or stopping from the brake. I can adjust the nut on the brake rod to brake when the brake arm swings up, but that's the opposite of what i'm after.

Any insight or more pics are greatly appreciated.

That's really strange Danfr. Can you undo the 3 allen head bolts around the base of the brake lever and adjust it so it sits higher?

Dan, I was just reading on their site and it says that "Brake linkage provided, with a brake stop to keep the lever from flopping about.". Have you done that part of the install? In their PDF install doc, it states "Adjust the stop cam and use it to make sure the lever cannot lift too far on brake release."

I'll be interested in seeing how this turns out.

I got it all figured out. Just needed to spend some more time with it to understand the setup a little better. I did need to rotate the collar to a different setting though.
