The bike is on its way to being rideable. The electricals are one their way. Attached is a picture of where we would like to put the signal lights, it a an orange LED array that can fit on the end of the frame, it will sit under the seat and be inconspicuous. What is in the picture is a rough mockup.
The brakes are all functioning properly front and rear. The engine turned over and there is good spark. The main wire harness is working fine. By the end of next week we should have it started and hopefully all the electricals done and if we are lucky a test ride.
Exhaust sanded and painted ready to remount (see pic)
We still plan on having the rig done by May 1. We had a couple of hiccups, nothing serious tho:
1. front brakes seized, so we had to unseize then
2. the bar end signal light did not fit into the bar end so the bar ends have to be reamed out.
3. the chain and some other little parts that were suppose to come last week were sent back because they had the wrong address
4. We picked up a license plate bracket that also looks great. It goes on the rear axle.
5. The seat pan is cut and will be bent later today
Excitement is not even the word to describe what I'm feeling... \/
Here are some new pictures. The home stretch...plan to take her out next weekend and warm them new tires...
1. install chain
2. finish electricals
3. Finish grinding all the welds to make smooth
4. Prime all unpainted metal.
5. Secure the fender
6. make bracket and wire in the speedo/tac computer
7. final check before test ride.
