I would stop doing what you are doing and make her run first thing. You may be wasting money and effort on an engine that is completely fried.
Did you open up the engine and look at the cam, journals, tensioner / slipper before you started this work?
Alot can go very badly w a 360 in a very short amount of time.
A couple minutes is all it takes to make a good running 360 into a completely useless pile of scrap aluminum.

And for safety sake...replace that swing arm. I stretched my swing arm. I wouldnt ride one that has been hacked up like that.

I took your advise and worked on the electrical so I can get it started. It's sparking on the right side only. Is that a coil? Or something else?

Could be a number of things. On the Honda 350s and 360s, the most common reason is a dead or dying battery.

I checked the points and they both have 12v and the battery does as well but I'm ink getting spark on the one side. I even switched the plugs to see if that was it. That's why unthought coil. Also the coil was warm? ( the one that wasn't working)

Also with cleaning out the tank. Mine has some very minor rust. I have seen using vinegar works. Any thoughts?

Is it me or is that swing arm put together upside down or backwards? That's the brake stay mount on the TOP LEFT side. Its supposed to be on the BOTTOM RIGHT.

If it is wrong then that means the offset for the rear wheel is wrong as well.

My just be my eyes I donno...

That's the mount for the chain guard you're seeing, Franz.

Does your chain guard mount look like that? Mine doesn't. It looks like someone lengthened the swing arm and flipped the pivot. That's definitely the brake stay mount.

Thats EXACTLY what Im thinking too ...Im running out to look at mine. The chain guard thing has 3 little tabs on it.

The suspension mounts are the correct way up. Was the swingarm cut at some point?

It was cut and lengthened.

Tank electrolysis. Pretty simple to do and works well if you leave it on long enough.

Fill up your tank with a solution of water and baking soda. If you have a battery tender, hook up the negative end to a spot on the tank where it will be touching metal and not paint (probably some where on the under side). Then using a conductive piece of metal (this will most likely get ruined) attached to the positive end from the battery tender and place it inside the the tank near the cap where its only touching the solution and not the tank, otherwise it won't work and there will be sparks / shorts and most likely ruin the battery tender / charger. Leave it on for ~24 hours. And you will have a pretty clean tank. To avoid flash rusting have some gasoline ready to fill the tank up (or you could coat it but I wouldn't recommend it, I tried coating my tank with a sealer and it didn't cure properly).
Also make sure to remove ur fuel valve as the metals its made out of can corrode during this process.

I have a stock swing arm and im going to say that if the guy wasn't competent enough to weld it the right way up! I might not want to test his competency with welding...

If you want a stretched arm, just do it like trek did, looks great and the arm stays intact. Or build a new stronger one.
