My daily ride - Lets see yours

The latest way I'm running my daily ride. Put 13,500 on this in the past 18 months.

He tells me it's a smoother engine than the 750 and makes about the same power.

It really depends on how they are put together. People have put 650 Nortons together with the wrong combination of piston brand or balance factor and have got them to vibrate more than the 750. Likewise some smart people have put together Atlas engines that are as smooth as any 650, so nothing is written in stone, good luck.

1977 KZ1000
Wiseco 1075 Kit
Port work to head
Dyna ignition & coils
K&N Filters, Jetting
Vance & Hines pipe
back cut trans
Lockhart oil cooler
A plethora of other expensive odds and ends....

Bought this from a mechanic friend for $2500.00. I have receipts for about
$8,000 in all kinds of parts and labor from the guy he bought it from.
Sometimes it just doesn't pay to do it yourself!

2003 SV1000 (factory nakey)
Leo Vince cans
Pipercross air filter & air box de-snorkeled

I drive this one the most often. I'm not much of a new(er) bike fan,
but this bike really does it for me. Lots of fun.

What model Sporty is this? I like what you've done to it!

after that many miles on that can you still reproduce?

Not a bad ride, taller 16" tire soaks up the bumps, not much different than the stock shocks that only had only a little over 1" of travel.

Is it true you can fit a 180 tire back there, or do you need to do a chain conversion?

I am running a 170/70-16 on mine with the stock wheel & it is about 3/8" from the belt. If I went with a 180 it wouldn't rub but it would really need a wider rim & at that point it would rub.
