My Hooptie, '80 CB750F back alley racer

I've been riding this thing a pretty good amount lately and I have to say I really get a kick out of the comments I get. I work part time at a parts store and often ride one of my bikes in. This one gets more attention than my 1098 by far, even from people who aren't into bikes. I love the debate on whether or not to refinish the tank. Seems about 50/50 between leaving it rough, and repainting. I'm leaving it just the way it is.

I did decide it was finally time to get some gauges on it though. Knowing your speed is handy some times, and I like to know how far I've gone so I can estimate when I'll need to get fuel. This little digital cluster was actually one of the first things I bought for the bike, but I've been lazy about actually hooking up all the wires and getting it mounted. In the end it was actually quite simple and only took a couple hours. Now I just need to use a GPS to get the speedo dialed in.

Just thought I'd give you guys an update. With a great amount of internal debate I sold this bike a couple months ago. I got an offer I just couldn't pass up, which then allowed me to buy a CBR600RR race bike for track days, and a new Dainese suit. Sometimes you just cant say no to a stack of money. The Nighthawk I'm building is gonna be a ton nicer than this one though, so I just try to keep that in mind when I think about how much fun this one was.
