Wow, thats a really nicely done bike! I like how simple and cool it looks. Too bad you sold it. Any pics of your 750?

Looks good. How does the kick starter clear the rear brake rearset? Also, where did you get your throttle cable that connects the stock throttle to the mikuni carbs? Thanks.

kick starter had plenty of clearance and as for the throttle cable, its a universal cable that you have to solder ends on yourself

wow very nice! love the motor! I am in the process of trying to get mine to shine... what did you treat the motor with before paint?

Sorry to dwell on this, but is it the stock 350 kickstarter, or did you replace it with another bike's kickstarter?

Okay... this is getting ridicules... are you going to give us all the details on the motor clean up or what? CAUSE IT LOOKS FREAKIN' AWESOME!!!!

Also, what are those carbs from? Did they make a big difference? Did it take a lot of tuning?

Thanks,

- Woody

the engine clean up was using alot of 3M rolac sanding/polishing wheels on the cylinders and head, they thin enough to get between the fins nicely and the lower end and side covers is just a ceramic based paint that cures with heat. you can pick the paint up at most auto stores and auto paint supply stores. the carbs are Mikuni 34mm sliders, real easy to tune and sync. you can get them from Todd Henning Racing or 32mm from Sporting For Less (they get them from Sudco)

Thanks!!!

hey brian, i see we have some more michigan people getting on here. i was interested in that bike when i got mine, i was going to make you an offer and it had sold that day.

whats going on with the other bike.

hey drew, hows the hawk? the 750 is a work in progress, working on getting it cleaned and yet still being able to ride it makes the progress slow. new seat, bars, and old gas tank getting worked over along with a shit load of 30 year overdue maint.
