Tonight i will have a wired xs650 gonna try to start this hunk of shit tomarrow or saterday. i also welded a few inch hunk of 1/2 alum to my rear brake hanger ill cut it down to reasonable and bolt it to my existing brake stay.i also finished guages bracket, so i guess bring your "A game" mj haha and if the wiring is wrong we may have to have the yamaha bun fire in western md
I found a major flaw in my lack of design. turns out these things need a chain so i cut all that shit off and started over with one of these chains now it will turn a wheel......not that that important i mean its my bike its not like im ever gonna ride it
I hate wiring annnnnd i suck at it the bike started once and hasnt sence. some thing is wrong somewhere so im starting over but im real close to junking this mother fucker and being done with motorcycles. Fun to pain in the ass ratio is way off and has been for awhile.

i did infact get it running with a ton o questions to rich ard and neil. it sounds good. i was worried that it was gonna sound like a bag of pussys like most 4 strokes haha but it seems to own its surrounding. Lets face it my rd is painfull to be around when it running, the xs isnt.
getting the bike to run opened up a box of new challenges. i used the starter and a battery charger to start the bike. well i need to get it to the point where i can kick started it. first things first it the carbs. i pulled them off and apart cleaned them set the float height & fixed the choke. tomartow im gonna check and adjust the cam chain and valve lash. im also gonna put the gravity petcocks on the nice tank.
The protaper bars need adapters that ended up setting the bars to high and i didnt have a clear eye shot at my guages so i ditched them and robbed the r500 for its bars im not happy about it but there cheap and i may have a guy that want to trade me a set of renthals so all is not lost
I took my swing arm to work and replaced the bushing with the brass ones that came with thd bike so one more test fit is in order and ill slap some shit paint on it and check that box
Ha i cant tell you guys how close this bike came to getting pushed into the street on saterday night in hopes that a drunk would hit it once the bars closed. but that drunk would have probubly been my wife so i would have had to fix her car. it was almost a fair trade, my multi meter did however hit the wall at mach 10 and explode.
