You have to attack an electrical system...well...systematically. Shorts can be anywhere. You need to test one area...mark it and move on so you know where you've been.
You are right, but the problem is Bryce, I have zero idea about electricals or how to test them. I took it to a mechanic and he told me that the power cutting on and off is due to a messed up ignition switch. I think he is right as the power comes back as I jiggle the key around..
