I'm attempting to keep my cross-over, which is that odd tiny pipe size. I went to an exhaust shop today and had them 'crimp' down some 1-3/4" OD pipe to 1-1/5" ID, still a bit loose on the OD of the tiny header pipe but close enough that a good weld will hold it no problem. This will also allow me to slightly angle the mufflers up enough to allow the side stand and center stand to fully retract.
