New piston or not?

Had a small accident in the workshop. When i tried unbolt the clutch according to Haynes (high gear and applied brake) it popped out of gear and my piston got dammaged. Next winter I'm going to put in big bore pistons.
What do you think? Can I run the engine this summer without changing piston?

If they are stock sized pistons and your are going to re-build / oversize next year then you don't need 4 pistons, just one.

Have all the Pistons and bores been measured to know what shape they are in?
Replacing one piston is kind of ghetto and really more reserved for people that really know what they are doing.

Not really the best idea if they are eggs you won't know until you measure.

I do agree that if funds are tight, buy one piston and re ring all... No reason to sit sidelined as long as labor is free... In racing the motor comes out sometimes twice a day so it's not life threatening and actually why we do this shit... right?

SOHC gaskets are not cheap.

With the amount of $100 piston sets(new) out there I don't see the reason to half ass it.

Also IF someone had to question a broken skirt as good or not, I question their ability to know if the other cylinders are okay or not either.

That sounds more like half assing it to me than just replacing one piston with a genuine one.
