Rad ha ha!

Love the shots from Belize, too...can't even imagine a trip like that!

Love the 48, its a really cool bike. Can't wait for the first round of mod parts to show up now!!

My wife and i just did 50 miles. She is a natural. Got the little rd125 tuned up and she's smoking up the town. She easily cruised at 60 in the twisties. I am a proud husband. Here we are leaving cracker barrel after lunch. Cute bike, cute girl. Win.

I would not place a bet on who had the bigger smile while riding, you or Denise. Glad the bugs are finally worked out of the little rd.

I gotta stay away from this thread. You're killin' me... just killin' me. :'(

This is inspirational.. Let me know if any of yall's wives have younger sisters.. haha! Put in a good word for me too ha!

Great stuff. Love that 48.

My wife wants to learn. She's 29 and never ridden anything but a quad.

I'm thinking I'll start her off on my little Honda xr70 to learn basic mechanics without adding a clutch. Then we can move up to the cl350. If she likes both those (I don't want her riding my project. If she's riding it I can't work on it) then I'll go get her whatever she wants.

I'll need luck, patience, and a gift card to Tiffany's to make this go well.

my wife won't ride anything short or a full dresser with training wheels. she is scared shitless. That is ok. I look at motorcycling as my getaway anyhow.

I used to say that until mine rode with me. Life is happier now that she gets it. Kind of strange that my hobby brought us closer together. Its a beautiful thing.

Still waiting for mine to bite, I was holding onto the 450 just to possibly teach her, almost had her on it one day but the skies opened up to a thunder storm so we couldn't. Hope to some day so we can ride as a family. I woulld hate to have to wait until Magoo is 16, that is like 8 more years. Her dad has the bug again and has me searching again for a bike so there is hope she may try whatever we find him. At least she loves to ride as a passenger etc so we can share when there is a bb-sitter.

Ya, I'd love it if Mrs. Drewski would even ride on the back once in a while. :(

Looking back though, it's really mostly my own fault she won't ride. Back "in the day" she did ride with me and I kinda scared her one day when I was chasing by buddy down a twisty road. I was a bit of a squid in those days. She was none too pleased with me. :p

After that, when the kids came along, she was even more worried about an accident that might leave the boys "parent-less". Bad enough that I ride. :-\

One winter, many winters ago, I dragged her out to a bike show to check out the new models, custom bikes, race bikes, etc. She would stand off to the side, waiting for me to check out whatever or speak to whomever. Once, when I was finished and rejoined her to continue our stroll around the show, she said to me, "I just realized something." I said, "Oh ya? What's that?" She said, "You're NEVER gonna grow out of this thing. I looked around when you were over there talking to that guy, and I saw a whole group of 'old grey haired guys' doing the same thing you're doing, and I realized, that's you in 25 years." I just shrugged my shoulders and said, "Ya... probably."

So... here I am. :D I'm just happy she puts up with my hobby that takes me away 4 or 5 weekends and costs us a couple thousand dollars per year in insurance and parts. :) It doesn't bring us together, but it doesn't drive us apart either. She just smiles and shakes her head. :)

I can understand this from a Mom point of view, I have wanted a bike for the last 20 years but said I wouldn't until my last graduates high school. I decided that by that time they are old enough to understand that it is my dream, if an accident does happen. My youngest is starting his senior year and is very excited and offered to help me build my bike, I think I will ride it to his graduation.

I never understood the getaway thing. Every time I experience something cool, it's always better when my favorite person is there with me.
Congratulations to both you and Denise, I can't wait for the four of us to cruise together.

Thanks Mike. And I'm with you. I'm sure all of you have noticed that I drag my wife with me everywhere I go. She is a trooper and a true sport about it, and in return, I think I have kind of rubbed off on her as far as where my interests end and hers begin...well, the line there is getting hazy! I dunno, She's my partner in crime and things are just more enjoyable when she is there. Working as a medic, I am away from home every third day for 24 hours, so I guess I "get away" due to necessity to keep the lights on here. And sir, next year, I'm kidnapping you guys from Arkansas if you don't get your asses down here for Barber's!

I thing it's wonderful that you guys have that kind of relationship with your "significant other"! That's the way it should be, IMO! 8)

I've lived an amazing life with my wife for the last 35+ years. We've had 2 boys born, grow up, marry and have kids of their own. We do almost everything together and have a blast doing it! :D

That said, we are very different too. I have my "thing" and so does she. We allow each other space to do some things apart from each other and I think that's healthy too. I love her even more for allowing me my space! :-*
