Some of the ones on McMaster only allow a three degree correction. I'm not sure that would gain me much.

same as 1/4 so you can look at those as well

Wellll say the length of the carb and adapter is 7" (i'm away from it so I'm guessing)...

7*tan(3) = .37" that's actually a good bit of extra space.

you can also get spherical nuts with matching washers
you can gain a little angle by oversizing the female(washer)
i meant 1/4" same as m6 as far as bolt size app

Wow, well with the right tool that job becomes ridiculously easy. Got the rotor off with an HF electric impact gun. Threaded in a spare rear axle and a good single blow released it.

Can I eliminate the sprag catch mechanism too by removing these screws? Do away with them?

Yup. I love that locking mechanism for that gear. Very neat.

Re: "Patina" The 1973 CB175 Cafe Racer

I forgot that I need that special oil filter wrench to take the clutch side apart.

Question: when I split the cases, is it best to have the motor upside down to just take the lower case off?

Was talking to Cxman today and it made me think that I may have some trouble gettin the shift forks back in place that way?

Honda twins of that era have the shift mechanism in the upper case half and they have to be assembled upside down.

Upside down is the right way :)
