Thanks Joe!

Here's something I noticed after replacing the clutch: When I pulled the old one, I measured the plates and the springs and everything was well within spec. I still went ahead with new clutch friction pads. Even though the old stuff LOOKED like it was OK, the bike ran better than ever! And the noisy clutch was a thing of the past. I don't know how old the clutch was but I'm betting that they might look OK but don't hold up over the eons since the 70's.

nice! i have a shifter shaft seal to replace on my Harley, i am going to put in heavy duty clutch springs, i hear that it will be a night and day diff... any exp wiht that?

Joe,

A short note so we don't hijack the thread. Harley clutches are an easy replacement. If you do a lot of stop and go, quick out of the hole or drag racing then you'll notice the difference. Casual riding, probably not so much.

Take care of the burn so you can get back to wrenchin'.

Hey Scott, I love the CB750....it looks sweet....there is definately no mistaking that cool Cafe Racer as a classic...plus you seem to have the right equipment too, nice helmet and goggles! :)

Hey Mark, man what a wild looking ride.

Did you build that yourself? .....a great job you've done. It's not my 'cup of tea' when it comes to style of bike but man, I can appreciate the effort in creating that beast. That's definately and unusual interpretation of a BSA A65. Bet that turns some heads ;D

Was the handling pig-like, or was it the acceleration that was pig-like?
Handling . Hitting some of those hairpins at 45-50 was an......Experience . The brakes on the Ks are just so underpowered . Exceleration wise for a 33 yr old bike she's a screamer .
All I can say is if it wasn't for that gawky tweek bar I probably would of been in the trees that day . ;D
