Post a pic of your latest purchase

Bought a Suzuki SV650S back before Christmas. It had been at the shop for 6 or 7 months. The owner was a young guy and wanted to get it running. The mechanic had cleaned the carb , got the bike going, but the guy never picked it up. I gave him a call and he wanted to sell. A $200 shop bill and $500 to the owner then the sad looking SV was mine. After lots of polishing, cleaning, buying parts and fixing things it is almost ready to go back together...... just waiting on a few more parts and a nice day to detail the chassis, engine, wheels, and put on a new front tire...... pics at 11:00.

and not really a purchase but i picked up my aunts old sled from Wisconsin this weekend, was bought new in 78' has not run in about 3 years... ill get her running again and hope to sell it... kind of cool actually. i bet it has been 19 years since i have last seen or rode this sled... i was laughing and said how much bigger i remembered it being! hahaha will be a fun project rebuilding something that my dad and i used to work on together when i was a really really little kid. Dad came out to pick it up with me and we kind of relived some of my first wiring lessons when we popped open the hood. was a really cool experience and i am glad dad took some time to come out there with me

Dude, that sled is awesome. Takes me back. I had the same one as a kid. It was a great machine I had a ton of fun on it. Got a John Deere Spitfire (still in the crate) the following year.

Too cool. 8)

Nice. Clean it, rebuild the top end, put it back together and ride it from Canada to Key West. Get drunk. Get laid. Swim with sharks. Get thrown out of a bar. Sleep under a palm tree. Ride home.

The perfect plan but as for the bike, we'll see. ! Maybe I'll start with the drunk and laid part hopefully..

Canyon - I highly recommend getting on the GSResources. There are all sorts manuals, diagrams, etc for that bike there. Seriously, they know every nut and bolt about it.

It is vintage, has a motor and 2 wheels, but a motosickle it is not. Had to do something as the new house has a driveway that will kill me if I shovel even half if it. This runs, not perfect but it throws snow for now, I will tune it in hopes it runs better but it will serve for now. 120 bucks. I think a new plug, carb cleaning and adjustment and aifr filter cleaning and it will at least last the season. Maybe longer as it is made from a lot stroner steel than the newer models. 10 HP 26" Bolens.

I have the same snowblower, Maritime! Mine was free from my FIL so I couldn't pass it up. It's a real workhouse and solid as hell. The output chute gets clogged a lot, but half an old broomstick holstered along the handle takes care of that pretty easy.

Cool I am hoping to find a service manual for it, needs a bit o carb work to run spot on but built really tough.

Well i am slightly bummed. 5 minutes in the garage and a few adjustment to the mixture screws and it is running like a top. Didnt have to pull anything apart. Ready for old man winter now.

Pulled the trigger on the mini speedo/tach, really pleased with the build quality and features for the money.
I bought mine at www.mikesxs.net
