i would not call it a "method" as much as would call it "how they work" it turn in to a vaccum or a pressureized box otherwise kinda like a gas tank vent
 
Yeah nobody tells you that they need suction to work properly. The difference between the two when adding positive pressure is insane. The worst part about the HF units is they aren't sealed at all, so they leak everywhere. A tube of silicone and some HVAC tape fixes that. Also stripped the factory weather stripping from the door and added some thick camper shell mounting tape. Makes a huge difference.

A Bradj original. Stock RD400 tank stretched 2.5". It needs "finishing", but that's cool. I plan to cut my bodywork teeth on it.
And if I do fuck it up, I have a freind that'll fix my goofs for me :)

'79 CB750k Needs some work, but she runs strong. Can't wait for Spring to hit Michigan.
