Nothing motorcycle-related this year for Christmas. I did want a basic turntable for the computer room (I'm working on a nice stereo with a good turntable for the family room eventually) that I can plug my AKG headphones into and listen to while I compute. My wife came through with flying colors on this one.

^^^^^^^^

way cool, i just got myself a new turntable for the garage so i don't have to listen to bloody CD's out there, i've already got a full DJ twin turntable/PA setup in the house (with, naturally, a spinning mirror ball and strobe light in the lounge room)

85% ethanol, 107 octane and 10c a litre cheaper than 91 octane (though i usually use 98), what could go wrong.......

the bike spent the trip home overheating, popping and farting and refuses to idle, hoping that draining the tank and putting proper fuel in there sees a return to normal

Oh god I hope so Spotty. Get it out quick before it swells seals and buggers Orings.

Ethanol is the devil.

Go for good ol' Castrol 98

have drained, refilled and it 'seems' to be back to normal, it's idleing and not popping and farting

heres hoping

mind you the stuff i drained out was an awesome shade of green, maybe i'll paint the bike that colour to remind menot to do that again

must be beer o'clock i reckon

Everything can go wrong. You need A LOT more volume of ethanol than you do gasoline. Ethanol to Oxygen ratio is 1:9 and gasoline to Oxygen ratio is 1:14.7

After months of searching, getting screwed by one of our vendors, and crying in a few bottles of scotch- I have the appropriate shift linkage for my CB360. Thank you Mr E.

Glad to help man. If for some reason it doesn't work, I've got plenty of materials for more of them.

Not quite my purchase, but purchased for me by Jenn for Christmas. A '76 mr175 Elsinore! Been wanting one since I was a kid. It needs a few parts to be 100% but it starts right up.

Awesome!

CanyonCarver asked me about the weight of my recent ebay purchase. Chinese Muffler at $36! Polished stainless steel according to them... Here's the info. Not sure on the sound yet, I bought it simply to buy it and see the build quality and such. It DOES have packing in the muffler too, so that's a plus. The weight in the first pic is with the hanger they gave me too.

Not bad at all. Looks like you can easily cut it down in size if you want to as well. I'm curious on the grade of stainless to see how well it resists rust, but looks promising for sure.
