Wow, what are the odds?!
Nice score :D
Yeah, when I posted the ad I never thought I'd get any responses. The seller was quite nice and was telling me he could remember when they first came out. Apparently, local dealer only brought four of them in, so there should probably be three others around here somewhere. Would love to find them.

Nice boingk! I saw one of those here for sale and wished I had the Cash to grab it. Love the old hurricanes!

Thanks guys, but its only because I'm selling the mighty GSX-1100. By the time I get done what needs doing to it I figure I may as well have gotten another bike, so its getting sold/parted out.

Anywho, 60,000km on the clocks and apparently everythings good but the rear disc (bit scored). Camchain rattle but thats normal for these and apparently its not a big deal to fix and doesn't really amount to much other than a mildly irritating rattle, anyway.

I'll start a thread or at least post a ride report when its here. Nice strokers on the last page, too, by the way!

Cheers - boingk

From May. Bought from a guy who bought it from a widow of a guy who didn't tell his wife he had it in a storage shed:

Oh man, I so want a side car... Nice score! I missed a BMW R/60 with a side car on a local classified that went for $700.00 in killer condition. Still kicking myself for not checking the listings more often..

I have those clip-ons bookmarked ;D for $60 and adjustable, its a great deal for a poor man like me. There is another pair I found for $40 but it wasn't adjustable. Worth the 20 bucks more.

Well may not seem like much but I was able to get a full set of replacement screws for the points on the GL1000. Took off early from work to hit the best metric faster place in town, they are all SS and button cap allan heads so much easier than the bloody phillips that strip in a heartbeat. I hope to f'k I can now finally get the damn timing set on the GL.

Will be here in 4 weeks....a custom machined hub for the 400f that accepts a CBR1000 rear rotor and comes with a carrier for a Ducati 999 Brembo caliper. It is also getting a FZR250 swingarm with tapered roller bearing pivot added. Along with the 1st gen GSXR forks that are already here and the high shouldered alloy hoops she should be the best handling 400f on the planet!
