Rain X Headlight Restoration kit. $15.

I just did this on my dad's '00 Avalon. The headlights were practically opaque...

I used the Mothers kit instead of the Rain-X/Macguiers.

Came with the blue 'ball' thing, stuck it in my drill, after tape and about 15 minutes of polishing per light, those suckers were super clear! I'm just bummed i ran out of time, the headlights were pitted and had some 'deep' problems the ball/polish couldn't get out. The Mothers kit (25$ in Minnesota@O'Reillys) came with a set of 'wet sand' pads that supposedly corrected the pits, but my dad showed up to pick up his car before i could get started on that. Told him i'd take care of it in the summer. Anyway, your post reminded me about his car. Good stuff.

And of course, took pics of the before, but none of the after...

I used the $20 Maguires kit on my opaque F150 headlights last spring and were pretty happy with the results. My beams were much more noticeable afterward. I don't think they are as clear today as when I polished them, however.

I used to do body work, and have nice air buffer. I have been doing quite a few headlights at $20 per set :D. Helps pay for Motorcycle parts.

I picked up a set of sweet CR26 smoothbores for Christmas.

That tank is something else! Are his prices competitive...? I would like to have my ashes put in that. Hit me up when your through with it. Haha

My only 'problem' with most high end race/sport gear is that you're forced to dress like a power ranger.
I do like cat though.....

Actually the high end stuff is all custom, so you design what you want. And I'm cheap, this is not high end stuff.....lol. But the off the rack stuff is usually Power ranger.

My racing buddies all wear Black leathers for effect, but out here in the desert and 100 degree weather, I won't......

Well ok, to me anything over $1500 is high end....the last onesy I bought was $1400 and 'off the rack' though I did get it fitted.

I guess as long as you're not the Pink Ranger or the one that has to be the ass when they all pile up to be the giant lion robot thingie you're ok......mostly....

You are more high end than I........... ;) I catch closeouts, my leathers were 500.00, The boots were 150.00 off, so 200.00 to my door, and the gloves were on sale for 50.00 I think........

Yeah I learned about Bill after my last one....I'll order from him, make the trip for fitting too...

You'll be in for a treat. I didn't go in person to get fitted, but picked them up at his shop. He finished them up early so I could get them on my way from Indy to Deal's Gap. Cool guy.
