That compressor looks like Johnny 5, I wish you would put some eye lids on it.

You're totally right!

Just locked these in for a friend. She's building a cafe off a 1980 XS650 and needed spoked wheels. Someone I've bought XS parts off before up here posted these up for sale on another board and thankfully I saw them first! $350. Powder coated rims, new spokes, new bearings, new Metzeller tires. Nice! Too bad they're not for me.

I can't believe I sold her. She'd been such a good bike.

But this is what I'm getting in her place...

2006 Yamaha R1 SE

Sold the Hayabusa for exactly what I'm paying for the R1. I upgraded to a newer bike with 1/3rd the mileage for nothing out of pocket :D

I'm pretty new to the cafe builds, but I've always wanted to build my own bike. I picked up a '78 CB750k last week and ordered Hondaman's book, and I'll take it one step at a time!

Was that pipe made for a CB or are you adapting it??

Don't know what this pipe was originally for. I'm getting the elbow removed so it will be a regular straight muffler. Then have a 2-1 joint fabricated to fit it on a pair of CL350 pipes.

I like the tunability of my supertrapp...simple as adding and removing disc's made a notacible difference in how the engine runs. More steady pull with a flatter curve using less discs or more "Peaky" at the top end with more discs...

Purchased a digital tach/speedo for my '71CB450 cafe build

it tucks nicely under the HD NightRod fairing and headlight.

I like that a lot better than the one it had on there. You going for a high mount, or lower now that you have clip-ons?
