Been Around the Block
I've been talking about putting togehter Ducati track toy because, I admit it, I'm a Ducati fanboy and I have zero interest in riding a generic Japanese 600 on a racetrack.
Small discplacement bikes like the KTM390 or Yamaha R3 made appearances on the list here and there but a mid '90s 900ss or Monster always rose to the top.
Then I saw something on Craigslist that was hard to ignore. I'm not an Aprilia fan. I give Aprilia owning friends grief for riding an Aprilia. But... Ohlins fork? Ohlins shock? Ohlins steering damper? Oz wheels? Factory hi perf exhaust? For under $4k? PS. I'm also an Ohlins fanboy, and light wheels aren't something to sneer at. I couldn't help myself. 20+ years of exclusive Ducati ownership comes to an end.
Today I handed over the money for this. 2003 Aprilia RSV Mille R. Haven't actually brought it home yet but the deal is done, money was exchanged for a title. Bring on spring and track days!
