Project "Caroline" CB350four And so it begins!

Let me think... uhm...... NO!
She's a great Little bike and a blast to ride. I am kind of glad I have the chance to sit back and watch how you do Caroline in order to see your interpetation on the project first. 8)

Got out and did a little work last night, not a lot of work, but some stuff that just takes time. I realized today though that I only took 2 pics!

Started sanding down the first fork lower for polishing:

And buffed out the badges, so here is a finished shot of one:

Emblem turned out great. And I kind of like the finish of that fork leg as is....looks good. Reminds me of the factory Honda Racers. They always ran just buffed aluminum on the lowers so that it would keep the fork oil cooler in theory. Lookin good man.

WOW those emblems look fucking awesome all cleaned up!! great job!!

+1 from too. Nice work indeed on those emblems, and I like the satin brushed look you've got there as well. Looks nice and even.

cheers

Thanks guys, I really appreciate all the kind words and support! The emblems were really easy to do, just takes time! I am thinking of doing a write up kinda how to thing on it for 1-800-cafe-help at some members request.

As for the fork lowers, well that is just the begining of polishing, I still have a ton of sanding to do before I even begin to actually polish, but polished is the look I am after here. I have designed the whole bike already and have a clear direction for every part and for the overall look. I think all of you will approve!

This thing is going to niiiiiiiiiiiiiice!!!!!!! In my opinion 350f are the coolest of the cool. Keep it up!

I got a little more work done this weekend, but did not get any pics, I just got busy and forgot to take any! I did snap a pic of my badges after they all got done. I put a second coat on all the colors of the 350four badges and finished up the tank badges too. I hope to finish up the polishing of the fork lowers this week and get my paint ordered for the tins. I have also picked out the powders that I will be using if I can scrape up the money to order it all too. I feel like progress is really starting but I still have so much to do! I got the gauges back together with new lights for the instrument cluster, but I did not like one thing, so they came back apart. I have a little painting to do and a minor adjustment to make in the face plates, and then they will be done!

OK OK OK......more pics coming soon! Next time I am out in the shop I will snap some pics of all I did yesterday and all the stuff I work on then! I hope to get out there some tonight, but my life has been pretty hecktic, so I have only gotten to work little bits at a time.

Wow man... Just freakin' awesome work however, I agree with tWistedWheelz.... I know that this build is awesome so I get really excited when I see that there has been an update but... not enough pics! Deliver, man! DELIVER!
