Project "Caroline" CB350four And so it begins!

Re: Project "Caroline" CB350 Four

Good work Brandon! How close is the kicker to your shin?

Re: Project "Caroline" CB350 Four

Thanks guys, I am really liking the riding position and I hope to actually put a few miles on her today when I get off work to really get a feel for it.

Justin, NO, Caroline is all mine, but we have an open relationship, so I will let you ride her!

Rich, the kicker is inoperable at the moment; it will need a little bend in order to work with the rear sets!

Thanks again, there is lots more to come, so stay tuned!

Re: Project "Caroline" CB350 Four

Excellent work on the bike. Having seen someone take on rear sets this late in the season makes me feel better about doing my handlebars/mirrors and signals a few weeks ago.

I love those smaller four cylinders. Hope to find a good one to use as a project some day.

Re: Project "Caroline" CB350 Four

brandon bike looks great dude, that riding position suits it sooo much better. totaly rad man

Re: Project "Caroline" CB350 Four

Nice subtle transformation. Great bike to begin with. I used those same rear sets for mine. Working great so far. keep it up man.

Hahaha Thanks Josh, but the riding weather has been so good I have not wanted to put her on the lift! Caroline and I are enjoying the wind in our face right now, but soon enough the leaves will have fallen and the bitter north winds will send us into hibernation, and some majic will happen before spring!

Re: Project "Caroline" CB350 Four

How did you end up fixing the loss of power at full throttle due to your carb issues?

I had tried freeing up some HP by improving air flow. I had removed some of the air duct from the stock air box, which will free up some HP, but it would need to be propperly jetted, so I just went back to the stock air box for the time being. Starting in January I will be tearing her all the way down, when she goes back she will have lots of HP adding goodies and be propperly jetted!

I was wondering the same thing. I found the thread, but it just kind of...ends. Did you get the tank done? Where is Eileen now? Why the replacement (that looks great BTW)? So many questions!!!!

Re: Project "Caroline" CB350 Four

Well thanks for looking at Eileen guys, and yes she has been put aside. I did intend on doing other projects before completing Eileen, she is a very long term project. She is currently is a state of suspended animation due to a title issue, so a new frame and possible motor, or motor parts. She will be done one day, using the Eileen design and she will be a zooki, but I just have to wait until the opportunity to work on her more comes around.

I got Caroline as a runner so to get her cafe'd up and ridable is much easier, and I want an old bike I can ride, so that is why this project has moved up in the ranks, and real soon she will be done. I hope to have her ready when riding comes back in the spring. After Caroline I have a bobber build planned, then maybe back to Eileen
