Project Zero

Thanks for the support. I got the engine finished and carbs remounted. Tomorrow I think I will start the front end.

Trees are done and mounted. The front wheel is next that way it can stand on its own without the crate.

Spent some more time on it after work. It is officially standing on its own.

Hah, reading through this thread, from October 8th to the 13th all I could think was "well that escalated quickly"

You went from a complete bike to a frame in one image hahaha

I went from a complete bike to a frame in less than two hours. It doesn't take long to dismantle when you remove large pieces at a time. Problem now is most of the large work is done. Now its fine tuning all the little things.

Had to do a little back peddling. All the wiring was done so I decided to try and give it a start. It cranked fine and right before it started I noticed gas all over the floor. The carbs were leaking. I decided its time for a rebuild which I was trying to avoid. The gas was leaking from the choke valves that went into two of the carbs.

That's awesome just what I was needing. Now I need instructions on tuning them for initial start up. I may take them to a pro for tuning.

I missed that. I have a few different manuals downloaded so I will be able to review them. I just hate doing carb work and don't want to do this part of the project.

I haven't posted anything on here in so long the forum actually advised me to start a new topic. No real updates. The carbs are all rebuilt and the o-rings just came in a few days ago. I've been scrambling to finish the inside of my house before Christmas so my family doesn't have to walk through a minefield. I'm planning on putting all the carbs together this morning before work.

The carbs are reassembled and balanced so I can do an initial tune on them. They look like steam punk jewelry.

No recent updates. Been busy with my new cage, rebuilding my friends XLH1000 engine, and now I'm building a teardrop camper.
