the tank was really cheap £13 and in good shape . but it has had the filler cut out and a bit of the bottom choped out but it worked out gr8 for me as i wonted to put in a new screw filler in and with the bottom choped out i can put my petcock any where i like so it worked out gr8 and comes up gr8 with a polish. ill have a go at makeing an alloy seat to match at the end of the year :-X

any ideas on the front brake? i've just started a full cheaparse cb125 build, and the forks look near identical - i had the misfortune of obtaining one with a mechanical (read: cable actuated) front disc. it doesn't work. i doubt it ever did... :
the cable disc is 50 % better than the small drum i have if its set up right . i had one on my old cb i changed pads and drilled the disc and it worked 100 times better
i think i am going for a whole front end forks drum :-\ or disc as the stock forks are poo i am looking out for a cb 250 front end with 33mm forks and disc or drum as it should be an easy swop and easy to get parts for.
p.s and all so dont try and go for a hydro swop from a bigger cb to work with your cable setup as thay look kinda the same but dont fit the fork like i tryed :-[ best off geting a new front end in my book post some pics of your small bike to
heh i can't upload from work (uploads are completely blocked :/) so i'll have to do it later.
mine's actually a cb125n (complete with POS 4spd gearbox!) despite sitting in a garage for over 10 years, managed to get it started gotta love old honda reliability.
ebay for the clipons mate 27mm only 6 pound including post so was very happy ;D i just been blasting about on it its amazing so flickable and got 80mph out of it dont think it could make the ton with out crazzy gearing
thanks the light was a home made job the ring is a curtain eye and just a bit of clear plastic glassed in with the stock bulb hid under the bum stop cost abut a pound to make
i think it pipe works well as theres walls inside the pipe all the was down to keep the back pressure but i am looking for someting more open from a racer as i think theres big hp to be had with a pipe change allso got my alloy rims today so should get some lighter rims and better brakes and rubber soon
Nice work man, very nice indeed! I'd love to have one of these little air-cooled strokers to zip around on...par it right down to the essentials like you've done. Its gotta be pretty darn light, yeah? I'm guessing 85-90kg?
I'm blown away, just do us a favour and try that crazy gearing sometime! Make sure to get it on camera if you hit the ton, hahaha.
got some more updates got my alloy rims polished what a bitch to polish took about 2 days to strip all the anodiseing off and sand . got my rear hub machined like the vintage racers did just got to lace it up still thinking about the best way to go for the front wheel ??? ???
