soooo since i havent had my bike for a freakin month and a half, i decided to go ahead and work on the new look.

im going for an army theme on the seat and tank. i still havent decided if i want to color match the wheels but we'll play it by ear

so i was cutting another tank this afternoon to make another seat. i needed to use a large cutting wheel on my grinder and that pesky wheel gaurd was in my way...so off it came...little did i know how important it was. while i was making a weird angle with the grinder, i got a bit too close and injured myself

i know its gruesome but the doctor said im lucky i didnt sever anything important...i think that was doctor humor

pics to come with new paint scheme

Can't see the pics you posted rphilli550 ??? Possible to re-upload them?! I've bought another seat pan for that cowl I made. Your pics and experience will be very useful to me.

But that was one awesome tank, and superb inputs from Noel.

Hey Gordon,

Looks like Ryan moved the location of the pics in his photobucket account!!... This will cause the pics to disappear in the posts.
Im actually in the process of building another 2 seats. One for my cb550 to work with a cb750f tank & another for my cb450 K7 to work with an cb450 K1 tank.

I"ll be posting the pics soon on another thread... So Stand by ;D

seat looks great.
I had a question to back up just a bit. instead of bolting on the seat what about pop rivits. I have a good snapon gun and you can get rivits any lenght or metal. If you don't like it you can drill them out. they are less conspicious than bolts and Hold up well under stress.
Just a thought
