i was in san jose. i taught there, and in the community at the chiquita banana plantation
 
Thats cool, I had a friend teach in San Jose as well, she didn't love the city, but how can you not love the people... Such nice people! Where is the plantation?

Funny how that works out! But we lived in Hahn from about 81 to 83. I honestly don't remember much about it. But it is goirgeous over there!
 
my daily drives were really long. san jose was about 25 miles from where i was staying, in guapiles. the plantation is in tortuguero. the orphanage i went to on weekends is in roxana.

Thats Super cool, I worked in a little camp outside of San Ramon for 3 months, near the village of San Lorenzo. I worked with kids from 6 to 13... I had a great time. I know those drives... I didn't leave the camp too much but when I did it was a 22 mile drive that could take 3 hours sometimes. San Jose was only 80 miles away but that was an 11 hour drive. It really makes you appreciate the modern Interstates that we have today. If you ever go back you need to go to La Fortura... It is at the base of the Arenal Volcano. Such a cool place, they have natural hot springs that run like rivers.
 
i went there on my last day in costa rica!!

i miss the kiddos to death, still write letters to some of them.
 
Play guitar (not well). Would love to go to Scotland/Ireland as well as Australia/New Zealand. Been to Thailand,Cambodia,Vietnam,England, Phillipines.Guam.bj
 
ahh the same'ol, ..work..lol
except im only 1hr and a half into my day :-\
id definately dig a few days off to just lay around, chill and sleep.
 
I hear ya. Im 5.5 hrs in so far.
I would love a couple days layin around stress free... That would be great.
 
its funny, everytime i take a few days off, when its time to come back to work, im hella irretable for the first few hours that first day back in action
 
On my lunch break. 7 kids today. Surprisingly easy day!
 
I hear ya man... Im a complete prick on monday. This job does that to ya though! ha ha ha

Well for me, we aren't even 2 hours deep in the work day :( So I still have lots to do, that and I didn't get anything done in the first hour. It's gonna be one of those days!

Go!- Do you have different kids every day, or is it the same general kids and their schedules just change?
 
You guys should get a job with me. I work 4 twelve hour days (sucks) but then have 4 days off (rocks). And if I take 2 days vacation, I'm off for 6, work 2, then off for 4 again!
