Alright fools, barber or bust.
Got a shit load left to do, but fab work is winding down.
Last night I got the electronics tray finished up and found a place to hide all that shit.
Got the tank mounts tacked on before tear down and final welding.
Got the front caliper clearanced and ready to roll.
Ordered brake lines today.

Tonights agenda is to get the rear master mounts fabbed up and working, modify the foot pegs, mount my gauge to the triple (Danmoto mini) and maybe fab up a headlight mount if time allows.

Brought to you by Miller Fortune and Yuengling Lager ;D

Does anyone know where I can order black bolts? I don't want any silver on this bike other than the rotors, so I need some black metric hardware, but I don't want it rusting in 2 days like black oxide.

Any ideas?

Fastenal has them. My local has a shitty selection as far as a range of options to choose from, but some common sizes they have covered.

Seat pan done.
Needed a new rear master so that's ordered. Modified brake lever.
Bought 180 bucks worth of paint and body shit today so this is getting serious.

Plugging along

Got brake lines ordered from Raymond at Apex on friday and they showed up at my door this morning. I ordered one wrong and he says he will have its replacement sent out this morning.
Top notch!

About 30 bucks each shipped, any length up to 72".

Well we started at the same time and he still Isn't done, so I reject your hypothesis sir

This thing looks mighty interesting. I'm late to the game, but tuning in.

You're just in time. Shits about to get real.

Despite full gimp status I crutched around the shop and got a st1100 rear master mounted up and fabbed up a new brake pivot.

That basically concludes the fab work. Next up is tear down and a metric shit ton of powder work, body work, paint as upholstery

Give me a few years more practice and maybe I'll be able to build a tank with no body work necessary. For now, not so much ha!
Next time I'll spend more time on the English wheel and less time with a hammer
