nice ride man!

did you paint the tins?how did you go about?

The oil pump works great.
I like the simplicity of just filling the tank up and forgetting it. :)

SIGH :'(

The last couple of weeks, I have done a few 45 minute to hour + rides.
And Stifler's Mom has made it PAINFULLY clear that she needs a younger, more flexible rider with more......endurance. :-[

My gimpy right hip forces me to lift my right foot off the peg manually, and I have to leave it on at any stoplights or stop-signs.( because it take two or three minutes to straighten my leg back out) ::) Plus I can't use the rear brake at all. ::)

Color me disappointed. :(
The bike is running great, and gets a lot of attention wherever we go.
But I am going to have to sell her, and get a "proper old man motorcycle". Perhaps a BMW, or one of the new Africa Twins. Something tall, softly suspended and with one of those wonderful electric starters. ;D

It is funny how what you have in mind for a bike changes as you get to know it. I had visions of disc brake conversions, fairings, and hot-rodded RD 350 motors when I started on this journey. But every time I rode the bike I realized it was perfectly balanced the way it is. If I added more engine, I would need more brakes. And if I changed everything, I may as well have just started with a RZ 350 and called it good.

I am, a bit, irrationally attached to this bike. As it got me back on two wheels after a couple of decades of life without. I have been kicking the idea of selling it around all summer, and have finally convinced myself.

I need to clean her up a bit, since I rode it quite a lot during Bikes Blues and Barbecue last weekend. 8)
I will get it out today and make a start-up video and post here for posterity. (plus I understand it is desirable in sale adds)
I will post an add here (in the proper sub-forum) first, before advertising it anywhere else. ;)

Damn Mike, that blows goats :-\

I think you need to suck it up and stop whining so much though :p

"Nando, don't be a Schnook...
It's not how you feel, It's how you look!!" ;D

Man a buddy and myself we're supposed to ride up to that bike festival. Both of our daughters had their first homecoming that weekend so we stayed home instead. We are trying get to head up that way in either November or early spring in hopes of some awesome riding.

Weather in both can be hit-or-miss. Either almost perfect, or cold and rainy.
If you are wanting to run the "pig trail", part of it is closed due to sliding off the side of the mountain.
It should be fixed by spring. The detour is fairly long: http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/ar-pig-trail.1068883/page-4

Guys, don't be worried about me quitting smoking. ;)

I have been spending time with her freckle-faced, knock-kneed country cousin. 8)
