TAO --- The South Seattle Cafe Project

TAO CB750 F3

I can't remember the price actually. Couple hundred bucks somewhere around there. No issues with the glue.

The front end is from a 75 GL1000. The rear hub is from a 75 CB750F. I thinks it's the easiest way to convert to spokes and keep dual discs. Pretty much bolt on.

When you say 75 GL1000 front end, does that include the brakes from the GL also or did your stock rotors, calipers, and brackets bolt onto the GL front end?

Re: TAO CB750 F3

Complete GL front end incudes:
Triple trees
Forks (GL1000 are 37mm CB750 are 35mm)
Calipers
Rotors
Hub (same as the CB750 hub)
Speedo drive

Re: TAO CB750 F3

been a year I know since the last post...

did you use the cycle-X cast iron extra long guides (from kibblewhite) and their nitride coated valves (cycle-X no longer carries but I think dynoman sells the same kibblewhites). Or their bronze guides? And how is that motor holding up? I had 35k miles on my F3 and the exhaust guides were sloppy. So I'm rebuilding and want to get at least another 35k Miles.. Ape's exhaust valves are iconel with chrome stems and at twice the cost but I'd think better life.

Re: TAO CB750 F3

I second the paint, this bike is coming together nicely. Really digging the paint scheme

Re: TAO CB750 F3

Not right now but eventually yes. This bike was a blast to build!
