Re: The Poor Boy - A Tale Of A CB550- GOT THE TITLE BUDDY!!!!
Got a Super Brace from Randakk"s on Sunday. It should be here tomorrow. I'm hoping to ride out to Santa Barbara on Sat to help my cousin with his proposing to his lady and this would def help.

we have powdered about 5 or 6... in black they are a nightmare to strip! i even called super brace to tell them what a great job they do on their coating work hahaha chrome is way easier! no outgassing issues

The "tightness" (or lack thereof) of the steering head bearing may also be contributing. I don't know how tight it should be. Best to ask an expert (not me ).

It's mostly the tires but a steering damper helps wobble more then a brace Brace is for stability in corners when bumpy. Damper prevents the side to side motion when both cornering and riding straight ahead. Brace looks nice. You should notice it when you lean over to turn, but first, sell the firestones to a hipster and put on some better tires. you and the bike deserve it.

brace does look good! the bearing head should have a TQ setting... and fall away adjustment. i would bet that or something in back like alignment is causing the issues

So you're saying the head could be too tight? I have never heard of the fall away... Saw this: "tighten to seat then back completely off then tighten hand tight". Is that it?
