The SkyTeam 'Ace' Resource

Gah! Last time I looked at this thread there were only about 60 pages... Got a lot of reading ahead of me now.

I'll start paying attention.

Thanks for the offer Rob. Another friend had alerted me to the pic so my wife went out and bought two copies.

There's real fun here too!

In the garage with a good mate deciding what to change in the early days.

If you're worried you might be too big for the Ace. Never fear, he's 6'9".

Does anyone know if the ACE is available for purchase and shipping to the US yet? I would love to have one of these little bikes. Thanks

The Honda shows up on eBay once in a great while for 6-8 grand, but it's a very limited production so you have to look look look.

Ya I would love to have the Honda.. but I mean the actual Skyteam Ace... (which is a whole lot cheaper =D) is it available for purchase to residents of the US ?

I'm fairly sure the answer is in the negative.

I can't imagine why that is so because they would sell a motza!

Thanks Crazy, ya I cant agree more... I believe it has something to do with emissions... as absolutely stupid as that sounds, I believe that is the only thing holding it up... but I would truly love to buy an ACE, the version you build when it arrives. Does anyone know if I would be able to find one on Ebay?

They come up for sale second hand, and often low mileage, in the UK and Australia.

But I guess it would need to be taken apart to get it imported?

Roman Buchok has been angling to get one to Canada for some time. See his posts on

For those looking to replace the front end....

If you can figure the inside diameter, outside diameter and height of upper and lower steering bearings then this may help your search....

Buckled rear wheel.

Only slightly, but I believe it's from replacing the bushes and what has been contributing to my under steer. Its only slight, but I can see it now. A couple of questions:

- is it possible to straighten a buckled rim?
- or do I purchase a whole new one?
- is it better to buy the one wheel already put together, or buy just the rim and repsoke? The former sounds like less work and more attractive.

appreciate your collective perspectives.

Find a motorbike wheel specialist. A wheel can be trued. Ask a dirt bike club. If you get a new rim , go aloy. Reduce your rotating mass .

Thanks I will try that first and report back.

00 Racing Cdi upgrade.

Hi guys,

Does anyone know what you do with the two single wires off the 00racing Cdi ?
Do you leave them separate or join together?
Think there for a switch.
Cheers Gunny

Didn´t it come with a switch? Mine came with a button, the two settings are tuned and un-tuned (maybe this is only for the 50cc?)
