I haven't been getting very much done lately. Blair (uncle skeleton) and I have been on about a 3 week bender.
But I have managed to get some work done on my rearsets. I wasnt happy w/ the 1st attempt. But still didnt want to fork out the 200 bones for a manufactured set. I still need to shorten the brake rod an inch or so. But you'll get the idea...
I got your catch can. Or at least I used this on a china scoot I 'modified' some time ago.
Here is your Martini Shaker Catch Can.
Garden variety aluminum martini shaker. 4" hose clamps, which I riveted to a piece of aluminum stock. The hose clamps hold the shaker in place, and hold it together. The flat aluminum stock was drilled to fit mounts on the frame, then attached using the existing hardware from the stock airbox. (on the scooter, it was an easy attachement) I used a hose fitting from the hardware store out of the plumbing section to get my hose into the container. The strainer end of the the martini shaker served as the 'vent'. laying on its' side, with the hard curve of the top section would 'catch' any amount of fluid that the single cylinder scooter could spew out. It never leaked either, which was a plus.
Obviously, you've got a big boy bike and this may not work. But it sure looks cool as hell, and what a conversation piece it was!
Hope this gets the creative blood pumping. Keep up the good work, mate.
Cool idea with the catch can. You should check out Zonda's "powder coat or Polish" build he had a real slick catch can idea there and the build is absolutely humbling in general.
Oh and please retake that valentine shot with a FOCUSED CAMERA!! I'm not finished yet... 8)
Well I've been trying with very little success to give my liver a break. It also helps the projects move along a little faster haha....
So I've made my tail light mount, and another hurst T handle kicker. Finished my battery box. but that was after I took these picks. So now I've gotta wire the head and tail light. Make a rod for the shift side rearset. And wait for some warmer weather to paint the fucker. But I will be riding it until that happens
Here some pics (shitty cell phone quality)
And for shits and giggles. A picture of the tank I'm gonna use on the bike for VonYinzers(Mike) and I's chop-off... hehehe
Oh.... Is that just the primer stage or is that the final color and you're going to freshen it up...? What color are your going with on the frame? (maybe you answered this already)
