I learned the basics of both weapons from my Grandad. He was a bad old kat.....
I just got back into Kempo and Tia Chi (opposites attract?) after several years off. Funny....you don't really forget those lessons.

I can't believe I overlooked this thread!

My plan has always been to grab as much guns and ammo as I can from my father's house and head up to the family's place in Vermont. It sits on a little over 10 acres. I would camp out on the roof and use skills from my days as a competitive rifle shooter to get 'em before they get close. Haven't put much thought into food or water. I should probably do that.

They're having the 3rd annual Zombie Walk here in Omaha soon. I even heard an ad for a Zombie-kini contest which should be interesting. Maybe I should go get practice some appocolypse skills that w/e.

I was just about to ask if anyone had seen the first episode yet. I have it DVR'd and hope to watch it before I have rehearsal tonight. 90 minutes for the first episode...hard for me to find the time during the week.

If you've seen "28 Days" and the 2004 remake of "Dawn of the Dead" you will probably notice a couple of key similarities with a couple of scenes in the first episode of "The Walking Dead".

Well worth it though!

28 Days Later is a fantastic movie. I haven't seen that remake of Dawn of the Dead since the theaters, so I don't remember much of it. Glad to hear it's good. AMC has some quality television on these days. Actually, TV in general has really stepped up its game. I'm having the hardest time keeping up with my shows, there's so many now.

Ya... The walking dead def borrowed some elments from other movies/stories, but I really liked it. Very cool, and looks like itll just get better.

There was a Zombie Walk here in San Diego during the last Comic Con and it ended up at my regular bar downtown.... It was pretty awesome, I gotta tell ya
