Im going to cross post this in 'stuff you have for sale' because it is very time sensitive, I hope thats not a problem.
I am currently in bangkok and Ive found a few shops that sell aluminum rear sets which Im guessing are knock offs. You can find them on ebay occasionally but you have to pay like 40$ + nearly 40$ shipping. Ive already bought two sets for myself and wouldnt mind buying a few more and bringing them back with me, then shipping them from chicago. I said ~50$ because Ill probably have to purchase an extra piece of luggage (its pretty cheap here at the markets) so that I can fit the extra rear sets, and its possible that I could incur some extra cost from the airlines. If the airlines doesnt slap me with a charge for having too many bags I could probably sell them for a bit less.
So heres the thing, I leave bangkok tomorrow at around 8pm, so I need to get a rough idea of how much interest there is in these rear sets by tomorrow morning (theres a 12 hour difference so Ill check this page at about 9:30pm US-CST.) If enough people show interest then Ill try my best to go tomorrow and buy up whatever I can find.
My camera broke about a week ago so I cant post pics right now but here are some pics that are similar to the ones Ive found. Everyone I saw was different, however they all were made of a mounting bracket and then the peg and control arm on the same bolt. So you could mount them with the bracket or simply use the lever and peg on your footpeg mounts and discard the bracket.

Ok, here we go. It turns out Im only going to have 6 for sale because I want a spare and my friend who is building one of the other bikes in my garage gets to pick a set. So Im going to post pics and number each set, the first 6 people who responded will get first pick. So that would be Disliked23, 561design, Chivatty, chrisf, Kuyarico and brewtown16. Please PM me a list of any you would be interested in and in what order. As disliked posted first, he will get first pick(after my friend), 561 second, and so on. Ill give a few days to these guys to get back to me and then after that Ill pm the next guy down until they are all gone. Sorry that I couldnt get more for the rest of you guys and sorry if this is overly convoluted, I just want to be to make all my fellow builders happy
Ill be happy to take more pics if anyone wants, I do want to make clear that these are for the most part not show quality. Also Ive made a note of any bearing issues. Ive decided not to replace any bearings as Ill leave it up to the buyer to pick how much they want to spend on replacement bearings instead of buying expensive ones and having to up the price even more. I did look around though and it seems that 10 8mm shieleded bearings costs something like 5$.
All sets include a shift linkage bar except set #7, they vary in size, if anyone would like I could measure them from eye to eye but Im not sure how this would help as you cant yet know how long it needs to be until you get the rear sets and mock them up ???
1
good bearings, philips head peg bolts -- 60$
2/3
good bearings, philips head peg bolts -- 60$ea
4
one bearing is 'rough' and by this I only mean its not completely smooth. I wouldnt think this would affect performance at all, but at the same time it wouldnt hurt to replace it. philips head peg bolts -- 55$
5
one bearing is 'rough' same deal as above, allen head peg bolts -- 55$
6
same style as above, one frozen bearing, allen head peg bolts **I didnt notice til I was stateside, this set has two brake side levers. they can be used on either side however running linkage forward on the clutch side may take a bit of tinkering. -- 45$
cant find the brake side pic for this set, but its the same as #5
7
both bearings are frozen, allen head peg bolts, no shift linkage. -- 45$
Mock up on my friends 350 passenger pegs with set #1. Im not a very heavy guy but for whatever its worth I did stand on them (hope whoever gets them doesnt mind!) and they didnt budge.
and the money shot! this makes me smile every time I walk into my garage
