I like it! I want to build a cooler rear subframe for my POS next winter and I always appreciate seeing these done up.

Thanks for posting

Looks good. Be careful with the bolts facing downward and that close to the tire though. At speed the tire grows a bit, and when things start flexing... Youre probably ok, but why chance it.

I thought about those bolts and how long they are. I have almost 1/2 inch clearance there. Tested it last night at about 60 65 with no issues.

Sorry haven't been on here in a while. Thought I would update some pictures.. Needed to replace the tank. It leaked. New one is designed a little different. Also powder coated to match the Rest of the bikes color. Still love the bike. No real issues.

Its Your bike =)

I Honestly didn't see that it was bronze. In the photo it just looked like black that didn't completely cover the old gold (but I think that was just a combo of my bad eyes and the shadows on the tank).

Personally I think it's time to steal Rich Ard's idea and get a CB750/900 tank ;)

Start swapping tanks. Its nice to be able to play around with extra bits. I'm at the disadvantage of having to buy things and then be disappointed that they don't work. Its the downside of not having a garage to store all the random bits I had access to over the years. Every few months the extra parts go off to fleabay or craigslist (if not the metal recycler).

I would have to customize any other tank I would try. I moved all the electronics including the battery to under this tank. And it uses every little bit of the area I've given it. The battery is in the backside of the tank. Besides the look thats why the tank needed to be raised in the back.

That said, I wouldn't mind having a few different tanks to chose from.

Figured this would be worth posting.. Although I do really like the look of the wide front tire, after putting a few hundred miles on the bike. I am going to put the factory front tire back on. Cornering and over all cruising is different. It has a completely different feel. Not anything that seems dangerous by any means. Just after building and riding for years now I would rather get my handling back.
