What is the best Honda bike to buy, for a platform, rareness etc?

The guy who has had the booth next to me at Barber has had a handful of those little suitcase bikes over the last couple years. They are wicked cool.

.....oooohh how much......?

You can't do a like for like comparison between two stroke and four stroke. That's apples to oranges.
I think you can because apples and oranges are both fruit! And 2ts and 4 strokes are both bikes.

That's why I suggested the z1 and the h2. Pick how many strokes you want and you still win!

Hard to dissagree!! ;D

You know what's better than a Dodge Caravan? A Porche 911.

Also, this:

RC166 > TU250
VFR750 > XJ750
CB350 > DR350
etc, etc, etc

No they lack in comperison to there counter parts in ever cc range
Cb200 < rd200
cb350 < rd350
Cb360< a bicycle
Cb400<rd400 or a kaw 400 triple
Cb500<h1 or t500
Cb550<gt550
Cb650<xs650 or even a kz650
Cb750< h2 or even a gt750
Cb900<z1
And aside from power the none Honda I mentioned are more collected and
More valuable. Honda flooded the market with heavy mass produced shit.
Don't get made becouse I can see the forest through the trees.

Nice list but not based in reality ;D
The CB750 sand cast is the most collectible in that list and 1969 was a very fast bike 8)
the CB900f is faster then a z1

when the 900f came out is was the best handling, going, stopping, big block ever sold from the japs
i remember reeding the atrikle in the maguzeen's

I'm a Suzuki guy ;D but when I rode my friend's 900 back in the day my big gs did not feel so refined :(

me and a buddy rode to canada and back, back in the day, i had a kz900 he had the 900f, we switched bikes once but only once he had a hard time getting it back from me !
my only saving grace on the kawi was being a better rider

I can't comment on the 900 performance vs a z1 but the aftermarket support for the z1 is insane vs the 900 honda thus making it a better build choice.

The CB900f should be faster than the Z1 - Honda had 6 years to play catch up.

Shame that the Suzuki GS1000 came along blew them all into the weeds though...... ;)

I'm impressed by the GS. I think it could stick it to the big kaw but it handles even worse.

I don't Suzuki. Never have, never will.

Just noticed I have 7 Hondas in the garage...

I think the gs1150 actually made the most power and tq of all those bikes by a notable margin.

My first suzuki is a newer hyabusa and it is a magical bike.

The 1150 was a brute, but we've lept forward over 10 years if you're comparing that to a Z1.

I still miss my old 1150 - it had a 1199 kit and a pipe and it was a monster.

No the 82 or 83 gs1150e? I think. The one with the half fairing.

Also the kz1 and kz1100 and up to 82 gpz1100 were pretty close to same bikes engine and frame wise.

I think the TT500 is a bike that will appreciate exponentially soon. They weren't sold in huge quantities because they were a few years before the cafe rage hit.

If anyone is interested in a clean GB600, yes GB600, let me know. Price, well, don't ask if you can't afford.
