What would be your dream bike / build? Vintage

I was hoping some people here might help me out a bit. If you could build any vintage bike and money was no object what would you build? What is something you have always wanted to do but never had the time, money, or tools to do it yourself?
There is a very small chance that a person of wealth may contract us to build him a bike. If so money will not be an object for this person. They are a collector / rider but he knows his limits and does not want to build the bike.
There are so many talented people on this site that what better place to see what the talent would do. In any case it could be fun to just dream of a bike or build we have always wanted.

Not counting the skills required (I dont have yet...)

Custom late 70's sport bike style frame, Harley evo based engine, Ducati heads, Mono rear suspention, USD's up front, clipons, dual discs (Buell perimeter style), 18"/19" wheels...

Thats the basics.

Brough Superior with monoshock, upside down forks, dual disk front brakes, cast 17" wheels and undertail exhaust. Ha, just messin' with ya ;D

Harley flathead. Full on 40s era factory racer. All period correct parts. Or a Honda cb400f, yoshimura race rep. Or a Harley xr750 race rep. Or a... The list goes on and on, but honestly the tops for me would be a mint resto on a Vincent Black Shadow. The only factory bike ever that I would NEVER consider anything but a full restoration on.

I'd like to be able to afford a new Manx engine and bring my Norton back to the way it was in the 70s.

Honda Drixton 500T Race Rep, TZ 4LS Drum up front, full fairing... I'm shifting awkwardly in my seat just thinking about it.

For me it would have to be this:

rc165.jpg

RC165:
  • Engine - air cooled 247cc DOHC transverse six
  • Horsepower - 60bhp @ 18,000rpm
  • Top Speed - 153mph
  • Brakes - double drum/drum
  • Frame - tubular steel open cradle
  • Transmission - 7 speed

  • That's motorcycle sex right there.

1968 BSA Lightning. 1St bike I did the "Ton" on. Buried the speedo and tach needles. No helmet, (no law at the time), no windscreen, no leathers, no goggles. No cops. Youthful stupidity. Head down, engine screaming, eyes tearing. Remember it like yesterday..

I have my Triton, am building my Goldie, so my next dream bike would be either a Molnar Manx Norton or Matchless G50, but I would not turn down a Vincent.

My no1 dream bike; Vincent Black Shadow.

At some point in my life I am totally going to own a Black Shadow, even if I have to sell my girlfriend to get one ;D

custom framed harley based cafe is what I'd like to build, no real pictures as I can't upload it from my brain lol

Your girlfriend, both balls, your left leg and probably have to throw in your firstborn to seal the deal.

First choice definitely a Norton Manx. Wanted one since the late '70's...
But lately an original AJS Porcupine is pushing hard as favorite all time ultra super rare never in my lifetime bike.
