Picking a CB550 up in two weeks, this has been in inspiration to me. Definitely following this. Post up when you test fit the front hub, would love to hear/see how it fits and possibly get in on the buy.

Do you have a caption for the last post? Are you going "mono" or did you just want to change the rear lines for aesthetics?
Love the build. I was contemplating the same seat, but didn't have the coin for it. However, it does save you money on paint and upholstery.

I will be keeping dual shocks. I changed it to clean it up a bit. Stock frames do didn't give the stance I wanted. The last seat I did was about $450 and this was $200 plus $40 to have it re upholstered after I shortened it.

Are you going to call it "The Tuxedo"?

+1
Would also "suit" the black and white theme on the tank !

Hub came in today and bolted up great!!! Rim is at powder coating so ill have to see when I can come get it.

Very nice finish, am interested as I said before, in a hub when you're ready to sell. The hubs are designed to take brgs from a GSXR, is that correct?

I will have the hub laced to be ensure correct fitment then I will have the rest of the order for-filled. I'm projecting cost of hub to be $350.

Yes, the bearings and seals from gsxr fit right in as well as brake rotors.

Really smart design, definitely put me down for one. I can't wait to see your bike finished, will be one cool looking beast!

Nice, but $350 for one hub is way too rich for my blood. All told, rim; rotors; bearings; custom made spokes; powder coat; and tire (plus mounting?), I figure one would have over $850 in one wheel. Whoa...

Oh, I thought you guys were talking about using wider rims to accept a 120 tire. Don't get me wrong, my favorite look is a spoke wheel with modern rotors and USD forks (and mono rear end). As I've gotten further into this game, I've become really cost conscious.
